Before I started training with Abby, I had reservations about exercising in public, getting hot, tired and bedraggled. I was also concerned that we were starting in early winter and that the cold weather would threaten my progress.

However, it turns out that our focus is so fine-tuned to the training that the only other park-users I notice are the dogs that try to join in the fun. Abby makes sure I start warming up straight away and I’ve learned that cold weather is ideal when training hard. I’ve never been too cold in any of the sessions.

My motivation to start personal training was to be lighter on my feet and to feel energised by a healthier lifestyle. My programme so far has helped me to feel stronger, fitter and lighter, I have lost some weight and have also learned to pace myself better.

All my training sessions with Abby are different – I’ve used the TRX, medicine ball, and boxing gloves to name just a few. I had no idea I’d enjoy boxing so much, and making use of the adventure playground in Victoria Park has been great fun. I’ve seen big changes in my shape (and work life balance) and I can’t thank Abby enough.
